How do I create an account?
Download the ChessCoins app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap "Create Account." Enter your name, phone number, and a password. That's it — you'll start with an ELO rating of 1200.
How are ChessCoins earned?
You earn ChessCoins by winning chess matches. The amount earned depends on your rating and your opponent's rating. Beating higher-rated players earns more coins. ChessCoins are an in-app virtual currency with no real monetary value.
How does the ELO rating system work?
All players begin at 1200. When you win a game, your rating increases; when you lose, it decreases. The amount of change depends on the rating difference between you and your opponent — beating a much higher-rated player gains more points than beating a lower-rated one.
How do I add friends?
Go to the Search tab in the app and search for a player by name or phone number. Tap their profile and send a friend request. Once they accept, you can see each other's profiles and send direct game challenges.
I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
Currently, password recovery is handled through our support team. Email us at
support@chess.sayedkhattab.com with your registered phone number and we will assist you.
Can I change my phone number?
Phone number changes require support assistance. Email
support@chess.sayedkhattab.com from the email associated with your account and we will help you update it securely.
Is my phone number visible to other players?
No. Your phone number is used only for login and account identification. Other players only see your display name and rating. Your phone number is never shown publicly.
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or through our
Account Deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all your data will be erased.
Is ChessCoins free to play?
Yes, ChessCoins is completely free to download and play. There are no in-app purchases or premium subscriptions. The app is supported entirely by gameplay.
What devices are supported?
ChessCoins is available on iOS (iPhone and iPad) and Android devices. It is built with Flutter, ensuring a consistent experience across platforms.
